◊ Dave Fawcett

Dave is the Facility Manager at St James Healthcare. He is a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and also a graduate of the University of Montana with a degree in Business Management. As Facility Manager Dave’s responsibilities include the day to day maintenance for the hospital buildings and grounds, the biomedical equipment, the radiology equipment, environmental services, security, safety, telecommunications and construction.

Before St James, Dave was the Branch Manager for Johnson Controls at both the Montana and Wyoming branches. Dave worked for Johnson Controls for 14 years in various capacities and various locations in the Western United States. He was recruited to St James during the planning stage of a 44 million dollar construction project. That project finished substantially under budget and ahead of schedule. Since that project, the hospital is at the completion stage of a 14 million dollar medical office building and the beginning stages of a 4 million dollar patient room project that will provide the hospital entirely with single patient rooms.

Dave is active in the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and is the state chapter president. He is also active in the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and the National Fire Protection Association.

Dave was raised in Butte and is married to Butte native Cindy Nevin. Cindy also works at St James Healthcare as a Radiological Technologist in the heart Cath. Lab. indy and Dave were glad to come home after being gone for 18 years. They were delighted to be able to raise their two daughters, Kellie and Abby, in the environment that Butte affords. Currently, both girls are attending the University of Montana.
