The Butte Archives has had to rethink how it presents its Brown Bag Lunch lecture series this year. In order to reach the maximum number of people safely, the Archives is hosting Brown Bag Lunches on KBOW’s Party Line. Archives staff member Kim Kohn will interview speakers in the studio to discuss topics related to Butte history and goings on the Archives. Brown Bag Lunches will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month on KBOW 550 AM or http://www.kbow550.net.

Some like to listen to things that go “bump on the night”.  On Wednesday, October 14, tune in to hear Chris Fisk talk about the “Spooks and Spirits of Butte.” Learn about the murderers and the murdered with comments on the history of The Myra, Cabbage Patch, Dumas Brothel and more.

Butte’s Cabbage Patch, where Fisk has had multiple successful ghost hunts.

Fisk, a history teacher at Butte High School, was awarded the 2010 Outstanding Teacher of American History by the national Daughters of the American Revolution. In 2018, he was recognized as Butte Elevated 2018 Educator of the Year. Fisk continually explores new ways to teach history to young and old alike, sponsoring the Montana History Club at the high school and teaching an adult education class in Butte History.
