The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series on Wednesday, November 27, with a talk by Archives staff members about Archives 101. Staff members Cara Mooney and Kim Kohn will talk about the daily tasks of an archivist, and how the Archives and its collections are used by the public, by students, and by scholars. They will define an archive and will speak about the types of records we keep, why we keep them, how we manage and protect them, and how we use them.

The presentation will begin at noon and run about an hour at the Archives, 17 W. Quartz. Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.

Brown Bag Lunches are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Upcoming lectures will focus on topics of local interest. For more information, contact the Archives at 782-3280.
