The Archives is the leading destination for students of all ages, as well as writers and historians to conduct academic research. The Archives allows students to interact with primary source materials that inform on Butte history including immigration, labor, as well as clubs and organizations. Copies and scans are free for students. Researchers may request materials before their visit, but it is not a requirement. The request form can be found below.

The Archives also welcomes school tours. We will accommodate all grade levels, and class sizes up to 50 students. Our services are available Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. excluding government holidays. Please call ahead to a reserve time for your tour: 406-782-3280.
