Brown Bag Lunch – Lindsay Mulcahy & Aubrey Jaap – The Business of Burials in Butte

The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives is doing its own Brown Bag presentation about the Business of Burials in Butte.
In conjunction with the current Archives exhibit, Archives Director, Aubrey Jaap, and Assistant Director, Lindsay Mulcahy, will present on the Business of Burials in Butte focusing on Butte’s cemetery history. Jaap and Mulcahy have led tours in Butte’s cemeteries for the last five years and firmly believe a community’s history can be found in its cemeteries. Join them to learn about the interesting characters buried in Butte, as well as the businesses whose livelihood depended on the dead!
The Brown Bag presentation will begin at noon on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, and will last about an hour. The presentation will be held in the auditorium at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives located at 17 W. Quartz Street. Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.
